3.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. This is the smallest format of drawing I have every done. My friend suggested I try drawing an ACEO sized format which is what this is. It is drawn on Canson Bristol Card, which is great for detail.
Thank you, dudess! I think the technical pencils I have been using for my larger format drawings are perhaps not quite the right sort to use for this scale. I'm going to try some Lyra pencils instead.
I just use my regular pencils and persistent pencil sharpening Although i have a 0.3mm mechanical pencil that i would like to try on an ACEO but I'm scared i might end up needing a microscope to draw!!!
This is what worries me, I'm not a young man anymore, and my eyeballs need all the help they can get to see the paper I'm drawing on. In my case a pair of +1.50s and good natural light, which is why I'm not getting the results you and Sal managed to achieve. Well, that's my excuse anyhow.
I'm not hugely young either (well not in body anyway ) and also need specs! What me and Sal both know is that eating dark chocolate - yes CHOCOLATE - improves your eyesight (short duration, terms and conditions apply). Anyway. I hope you like chocolate. This is the best excuse we've had all year
I didn't know that dark chocolate did that! 70% coca? I know it's one of the few things that actually works as an aphrodisiac! I do love chocolate and I want better eyesight for drawing little small things, so that's great ()2
